The special edition: "Training Cycles in Science Teaching" presents experience reports prepared by the participants of the Subproject Training Cycles in Science Teaching over the years 2018 and 2019. The reports contemplate the dilemmas and training needs of those starting in teaching and those who have been in the classroom for longer. Furthermore, the reports address teaching practices developed and experienced within the scope of the Teaching Initiation Program (PIBID), the Pedagogical Residency, the Tutorial Program (PETCiências), the Supervised Curricular Internships, and the Teaching Practices experienced in the UFFS Undergraduate Courses and school contexts. We emphasize that the texts indicate that it is necessary to believe in the potential of teaching and the theorization of practices, reinforce the need for constant teacher training, and strengthen the relationship between university and school.
