This special edition of RIS: South American Research in Science Education presents 19 articles resulting from research presented at the II Simpósio Sul-Americano de Pesquisa em Ensino de Ciências. These articles cover different research projects conducted in South American institutions addressing different themes linked to the thematic axes that constituted the II SSAPEC.
