Abstract

The SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) pandemic was an atypical moment that significantly affected the educational system and highlighted a series of difficulties and needs faced by its participants. This study aimed to present an overview of the teaching and learning process in Physics during the COVID-19 pandemic in a public school in the interior of the state of Amazonas, from the students' point of view. The research was conducted in the city of Codajás-Amazonas and the methodological process occurred through data collection consisting of a sample of 71 Basic Education students. The research has a quantitative, qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive approach. The results showed that the students felt disadvantaged by the suspension of face-to-face classes, presented difficulties related to the contents taught in the remote period, as well as with mental health problems. With the results obtained in this research, the need for public policy guidance, teacher training and curriculum adaptation aimed at adequate learning for the investigated context is verified.
