Teacher training is a continuous process that encompasses the interconnection between the educator's personal history, their initial training in undergraduate courses, and ongoing professional development. From this perspective, several researches are developed focusing on the continuing education of teachers, as well as official documents that seek to regulate it. The study aims to investigate what national research related to the continuing education of science teachers has developed in training activities in the field of Natural Sciences and their Technologies from 2019 to 2023. The research adopts a qualitative bibliographical approach, developed based on publications available on the Capes Periodicals Portal. A total of 36 articles composed the corpus of analysis, examined with the assistance of the IRAMUTEQ software. Discussions were organized into three categories: Aspects of formative action; The educational context as the protagonist of formative action; Aspects of formative action from the participants' perspective. Pre-existing relationships between categories 1 and 3 were highlighted, with concerns about teaching practice. Category 2 presents aspects discussed throughout the training and is directly related to teaching practice, the official documents governing education, and concerns about teaching materials.
