The development of teacher training courses must be constant with a view to improving teaching performance. With this in mind, the objective of this study is to analyze the possible contributions of a teacher training course, based on Science, Technology and Society Education (CTS), to the promotion of Scientific and Technological Literacy (ACT), with teachers who work in the network municipal district of Curitiba, in full-time schools. The methodological approach of this research is qualitative and descriptive. To create the data, the logbooks of two project collaborators were analyzed, who are doctoral students at the Federal University of Paraná and discuss ACT and CTS Education. Through Content Analysis, the data were analyzed and organized based on two Categories, a priori, entitled: Category I - theoretical, methodological and epistemological issues present in the teacher training course and Category II - training potential present in the training course of teachers. The results indicated that the teacher training course was of great relevance, especially when emphasizing CTS Education with a view to promoting ACT.
