The following text deals with the use of films in the classroom to promote teaching of history. The survey, conducted with teachers of the Municipal Network Florianópolis teaching in 2011, is divided into two segments: understand the place occupied by the cinema in the academic education of respondents and the uses they make films in their teaching practice. The article was based on clippings from his lines taking into account the procedures of oral history methodology.
