Right to the city, Right to difference, Henri LefebvreAbstract
Through the thought of Henri Lefebvre revisited through a bibliographic review in dialogue with some of his interlocutors, we present an approach that includes the recognition of the different ways of producing space as one of the aspects of the right to the city. Understanding the right to the city such as the right to difference is a counterpoint to capitalist sociability and its tendencies to homogenize space and modes of existence. We emphasize that this right is not thought of here as a transcendent right or, simply, a positive right, the right to the city being located in the socio-spatial practices of the subjects.
