The text focuses on the role of space in the process of conducting the accumulation process in a moment when one can verify the transition from the hegemony of the industrial capital to the financial capital in the framework of globalisation, which reveals the tendency of an increasingly urban world. Immerse in this “apparent transparency of space”, studies on urban space have abandoned the critical analysis of reality and favoured planning.
