The idea of non-Euclidean reticular regions is introduced in order to move forward on a theoretical and methodological approach on the comprehension of the contemporary production of social space. Moreover, it is our intention to discuss Brazil’s urban question and recent urbanization trends. We understand this category − reticular region − as essential in order to develop a political economy of space as well to explain the underlying foundations of spatial division of labor, as well as the performance of the capitalist system economy, as it allows the analyzes of current space-time continuities, that occur yet vertically altering the prevailing relations of centrality.
