We live in a world that is increasingly urban. The total urbanization of society such as Henri Lefebvre stated in "The Urban Revolution" (2002) puts as a challenge the reproduction of life in the city. We assume that among the urban social movements fighting for the right to the city there is a movement fighting for self-management and associated work as a condition for the reproduction of life. We are aware that in the cities there is a growing number of cooperatives, associations and groups of employees who make use of self-management. We call it Solidarity Economy. The aim of his article is to examine the possible relation between this phenomenon and the fight for the right to city.
