The article develops the idea of segregation as urban form, indicating the new contents on the extension of the urbanization process under the aegis of the financial capital. The urban space assumes a strategic sense for the process of accumulation (gaining a productive sense) as a way to the expansion of the commodities (the capitalism integrates the space like strategy of overcoming the moments of crisis). The expanding urbanization, at this moment of the history, acquires destructive power – places of life undergone to the logic of the process of increasing value. For the society, the urban question evolves towards a fountain of deprivation, base condition of the struggles for the right to the city.
