The present article presents an intervention of teaching of Chemistry in the basic
education, elaborated from adaptations of the Thematic Investigation and concepts of Aesthetic-Environmental Education. These two references allowed us to discuss the routine and experiences of life in the countryside. The work took place via a thematic approach and the students perceived a situation encoded in their experiences: the relationship between milk and money. With this, the aim was to problematize and dialogue the importance of the theme milk and its improvement with third year students from high school, considering their acquired knowledge culturally and their perceptions of the local context. The adopted methodology was configured as exploratory, of qualitative analysis. A constructivist conception was adopted in the teaching intervention, assuming the dialogical and problematizing character. The proposal indicated potentialities of the Milk theme to be worked on in the teaching of high school chemistry, allowing greater autonomy and participation of the subjects in the training process.
