For many years, a big stigma has been created in our society, about the topic of the HIV’s virus (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) and the aids (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) both of them, in reason of the fallacies regarding the condition and also the means of transmission, or even by the prejudice itself with the HIV’s carriers, those who after all these years are still marginalized by many people in the society. It is essential, we as science professionals, to start a process of demystifying such misconceptions still rooted in our society, and from a didactic and instructive initiative, promoting scientific dissemination for children in elementary school, we seek to develop critical thinking in students, urging them curiosity for research, with this they can be able to be active agents in their own learning, in addition deconstructing possible fears and prejudices present in the community in, which they live, about the carriers of the virus. In this virtue, the purpose of this work is to approach the HIV and aids theme through the booklet and podcast as a didactic tool for teaching science. Methodologically, the study was developed through bibliography research (booklet) and the interview (podcast).
