The womb, a creation for evil
the representation of the role of women in the film Hereditary (2018)

This article presentes a filmic-historiographical analysis of women in cinema, focusing on the horror industry, with the film Hereditary. Presenting them with na introduction to cinema, from its beginnings to current industries, their approaches and declines over the decades, and also their study within the historiographic field. When nothing the role of these women in the Hollywood industry of horror films, we notice a point of equity in the films, not only in the female stereotype, but also in their archetype. This presence dates back to Western Christian experiences, ornamented from Middle Ages to the present day. Unraveling these gaps presented in the film, we will reassemble the allegory of the womens and the archetype of each one within the drama for the development of its plot and script, discussed through the concepts developed by Jung and Matraga.
