This text analyzes four of the boards produced in a teaching project for high school students of Instituto Federal Catarinense. The proposal was to learn about the History of Art and produce montages of images inspired by Aby Warburg's Atlas Mnemosyne, learning concepts such as Pathosformel, Nachleben and ghost-image. The power of the image for the formation of repertoire, sensitivity and ability to think visually is observed, especially for the perception of symptoms, survivals and ghosts according to the thought of the aforementioned German historian. The article demonstrates how the Mnemosyne Atlas and Warburg's research can not only inspire academic research, but also contribute to the visual education of high school students.
