In this article, a brief analysis is made of the trajectory of exploitation that led Latin American countries to integrate into the global economy. The adopted approach is based on the postulates of the World-System Theory, considering its strengths in understanding the specificities of comprehensive territorial exploitation in international relations, resulting in the intensification of domination of certain peoples over others. It is argued that the foundations of the Latin American territory exploitation were designed to economically privilege European nations, exerting social, cultural, and political control throughout the implementation process.
