More and more women have occupied the space that is rightfully theirs within the artistic circuit. This was made possible through greater visibility of issues related to feminism and gender equality discussions, which are increasingly necessary. This research aims to demonstrate the female presence within the context of contemporary museums, more specifically at the Institute of Contemporary Art of Inhotim, articulating reflections on the presence of women artists in museums, making a brief case study and presenting decolonial feminism in the face of artistic panorama. As a basis for the analyzes and discussions, the concepts of decolonial feminism, decolonialism, will be presented, in addition to their derivations through authors who discuss the themes. A parameter of female art in the Brazilian and Latin American context will also be presented. The methodologies used for this work are quantitative and qualitative analyses, in addition to a bibliographical review and analysis of a case study. As a case study, the trajectory and works of the artist Adriana Varejão within the Inhotim complex are presented.
