A História no Currículo Base do Território Catarinense

This article presents the writing process of the History component of the Basic Curriculum for Kindergarten and Elementary School for the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. The purpose of this narrative is to publicize some of the movements that resulted in the final text. In this sense, the following events and aspects will be presented: the writing process (considering the training received in seminars organized by the Ministry of Education and the work of writers); the review conducted with the group of History professionals; the structure presented for the Curriculum Component and, lastly, a discussion about the limits and possibilities of the final text. With this initiative, we hope to provide necessary criticism to the document so that it can be part of the teaching and learning processes of the subject.
