Crime in cities constitutes a recurring problematic throughout the national territory and poses challenges to government authorities. Thus, the objective of the investigation is to interpret empirical-analytical contexts of the municipality of Itumbiara, Goiás, in the periods before (2018-2019), during (2020-2022), and after the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. With a multimethod structure, qualitative-quantitative approach, exploratory character, and applied nature, the research was developed under two scales: general, in a broader perspective, and specific, with an urbanistic focus. These methodological procedures aimed to answer the question of what space-time conditions are relevant for the enhancement of the sharing of sectoral solutions. From the hypothesis test, the analytical results confirm that changes in pre-, over-, and post-pandemic dynamics of the urban landscape in the determined interstices influence the variation of public safety features. It is concluded, therefore, that the shared management of the involved sectors is essential for the configuration of safe scenarios in contemporary towns.
