Abstract

This paper discusses the issue of socio-spatial differentiation and its relationship with conceptual scales and spatial practices. Two scales are defined: the urban network and intra-urban space. Each of them gives rise to different patterns of socio-spatial differentiation, which are, in their turn, the result of distinctive spatial practices.
