In Paris, public authorities make known through much advertising the festive events they multiply: it is for them a way to symbolically recreate the city. These events rely on a performative logic: the city is symbolically recreated through the organized, collective and festive diversion of places. The city seems to be produced through the commission given by public authorities to artists in order to produce temporary festive land uses. In this way a city that everyone could individually re-discoverer is outlined, a city that would be a set of territories to find and conquer again!
