Abstract

Fifteen texts - papers and books chapters - are analyzed in this article. They were published by Mauricio Abreu between 1987 and 2010. The main interest in the analysis of these texts is that they correspond to the evolution of the author’s thought in the period between 1998 (year in which his book Evolução Urbana do Rio de Janeiro was published) and 2010 (when Geografia Histórica do Rio de Janeiro [1502-1700], his magnum opus, was released).
