In Salvador, in the Metropolitan Area or in the North Coast of Bahia, we observe an intense process of appropriation and production of space and nature by the agents of real estate market in areas already transformed - in some case on the basis of an association with foreign capital - to produce and to sell new forms of housing in gated communities or buildings. The residual areas of the Atlantic Rainforest, the view, the localization, the infrastructure and the services, all this attracts investments of the real estate market and creates urban spaces densely occupied, where nature has a strong and symbolic association with a primitive idea of nature, which becomes synonymous of life quality, assuring an increase of prices of apartments, houses and buildings. The production of urban space and nature by the agents of real estate market denotes a high and fast process of commodification of the city, nature and space.
