The text aims at presenting some approaches concerning the category of space, introducing them in a universal logic. Then, it may become dialectical. It is a discussion between a universal conception and the geography science. Also, the abstract methodology attempts to be materialistic in the sense of searching historic evidence. Therefore, it places it in a capitalist context where it is inserted as a pure category. An approach with the urban issue is presented as a methodological exercise.
