Abstract

The central question of this paper is: does the disorder come as a result of the disobedience towards the order or is it an image of a new order that takes the legal representation as anachronic? This paper presents and discusses the evidences facing both possibilities of answers and implications as they relate to urban society and space in Rio de Janeiro.
