The text aims to discuss the use of notions and concepts in urban geography in order to contribute to a more rigorous and precise use of these, at a moment when geographers’ production is spreading beyond the disciplinary boundaries. The following topics were selected: (1) changing places and contexts; (2) changes in culture; (3) changes in language; (4) editing problems; (5) changes of disciplines; (6) philosophical or theoretical changes; (7) changes in the hierarchy; (8) changes along time; (9) production of new notions and concepts; and (10) risks of polysemy.
