Abstract

Speaking of crisis and emergency means r recognizing the responsibilities of the architecture and urbanism intheircollusion with the (inefficient) political and economic governance. From a descriptive perspective/framework we want to illustrate a global, complex and interconnected situation which reflects the present in the contemporary cities. This article is a reading of three voices from three different places with the same sensitivity, tracking the two sides of the same world-wide dynamics of transformation of urban spaces.

  • Natália de Carli, Universidad de Sevilla - US

    Graduada en Arquitectura y Urbanismo en la Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, Master en Ciudad y Arquitectura Sostenibles y Doctora en Arquitectura por la Universidad de Sevilla. Miembro del grupo de investigación OUT_Arquias. Vive en Londres donde trabaja como arquitecta y colabora con Joe Wright Architects. Investiga sobre el espacio público y comunidades. Actualmente desarrolla investigación titulada “De las revueltas a la gentrificacion: los barrios de Brixton y Tottenham en Londres”.

  • Simona Pecoraio, Universidad de Sevilla - US

    Licenciada por la Universidad Sapienza de Roma (2007) y Doctora en Arquitectura por la Universidad de Sevilla (2013). Asistente Honorario en el Departamento de Historia, Teoría y Composición Arquitectónicas de la Universidad de Sevilla. Miembro del grupo de investigación OUT_Arquías desde el 2009, en la línea de investigación “Sintomatología del Presente y Acción Arquitectónica”.

  • Carolina Prieto de la Viesca, Universidad de Sevilla - US

    Arquitecta por la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura, Universidad de Sevilla (ETSA-US). Miembro del grupo de investigación OUT_Arquias. Master en Ordenacion del Paisaje y Máster en Ciudad y Arquitectura Sostenibles. Trabaja como arquitecta en estudio propio y investiga sobre paisaje y territorio. Actualmente desarrolla la investigación de su tesis titulada “Atlas de espacios vacantes en el litoral”.
