This text results from a long process of research on the production of space and social life in the suburbs of São Paulo. Recently, these spaces and living conditions are showing signs of changes and renovations resulting from a number of new elements, among which we can mention the implementation of very different social and cultural policies and programs, articulated in not always visible way. Among these policies, the highlight some elements that point to a first understanding of the recent forms of housing production, linked to a process of formation and implementation of the Housing Program Minha Casa Minha Vida and MInha Casa Minha Vida/ Entidades ( developed for the social movements and social organizations) and its consequences, including the production of space and the city’s fringes, on the outskirts of the metropolitan area of São Paulo.
