The research is a reflection about the processes of transformation made on the outskirts of the medium sized cities in the last decades where new urban spaces have come up, physically separated, destined to economic activities and residential purposes, which are fully assimilated from a practical point of view by the city itself. As a result, new urban morphologies have been created, where patterns of territorial expansion and standardized urban models have repeatedly formed. We have analyzed the processes in three of these cities: Albacete (Spain), Green Bay (Wisconsin, USA) and Plock (Poland). The three cities are subjected to processes of urban expansion. In the report we study the effects of as far as an area of 25 km. Have been analyzed, which means the approximate radius that permits to understand the logics of the expansion modeling of the city out of it.
