This is a State of Knowledge study, intending to uncover issues that emerge from scientific research in the area of teaching concerning the theme of vaccination. The research surveyed articles published in journals in the A1, A2, and B1 strata of Qualis/Capes (2013-2016 quadrennium) in Education. For such, 32 articles were found in 12 journals. The results show that scientific research in education related to vaccination was published predominantly in journals classified in the A1 stratum, with a concentration of publications in 2021, with most of the research being classified as empirical research with qualitative analysis. The theoretical framework that underpinned most of the research was associated with the "Science, Technology, Society, and Environment/Scientific Literacy" line of research. Concerning the topic of vaccination, the category "Types of disease" was predominant, with articles emphasizing Covid-19. The research indicated an increase in vaccination publications during the pandemic, indicating how themes with social relevance in particular historical contexts impact research interest in different scientific areas.
