The school still reinforces stereotypes that accentuate prejudice and racism against the body and, mainly, black hair. Therefore, it is necessary to think about the influence that this space brings by contributing to the expansion and reproduction of these
discourses. For this reason, we aim to propose a Didactic Sequence that establishes a relationship between scientific knowledge and ethnic-racial relations. The proposed activity consists of conversation circles through the use of problem-situations and reading of labels that can be taught in high school classes, which aims to establish correlations between the chemical content of Inorganic Functions through the beauty standard and the culture of straightening. Given this, this work can collaborate with the (re)construction of learning, development of social identities, as well as favoring the process of humanization of students, enabling the implementation of Federal Law 10.639/03, black empowerment and citizen training through of an anti-racist practice.
