Cloning is a process used to obtain genetically identical organisms, raising several questions about the benefits and harms of its use. This research was developed with the aim of investigating the view that conclusive researchers in Biological Sciences have on the different aspects that involve cloning. A qualitative research was carried out with 20 students from the last two semesters of the Degree in Biological Sciences at the State University of Ceará / Faculty of Education, Sciences and Letters of Iguatu, performing the categorization and analysis of the presented speeches. The results show that students of Biological Sciences have different knowledge on the subject of cloning, with some in favor and others against the use of this technique. However, it is important that this subject be addressed more comprehensively in the context of Biological Sciences, since, as it is a controversial and constantly updated topic, it is necessary for students to discuss its different aspects in more depth.
