This narrative presents analyzes and considerations that integrate Arts and Geometry and was developed in the initial years of a public school in the country of Caravelas, extreme south of Bahia. The study is an integral part of an ongoing doctoral research that aims to investigate how the teaching of Geometry has been conducted in this location. In order to do so, it explores ideas based on Van Hiele model of geometric thinking and on references that emphasize the relevance of geometric experiences in classrooms in the initial years through folding, cutting, drawing... It is a qualitative approach, which uses, for the production of data, the transcription of guidelines proposed by the teacher in the whatsapp group in a 5th grade class, from the application of Arts activity articulated with the mathematical field. It is inferred that the work that concatenates artistic and geometric elements can be one of the methodological options to consolidate the teaching of Geometry in the initial school years.
