The present work analyzes the possibilities of using Astronomy as an instrument to contextualize Physics teaching through Cooperative Learning Methodologies - CA, considering the following central question: what are the potentialities and limitations of the inclusion of Astronomy through Cooperative Learning methodologies in formal education? The research is a state of the art that involved the analysis of academic works (articles, theses and dissertations) in the area of Physics Teaching in Brazil and official documents that govern the curricula. The methodological procedures used linked the research to the proposal of practical actions in the classroom, which influenced the research results. Given the analysis of the degree of relevance of academic works in the area of Physics Teaching involving Cooperative Learning Methodologies, comparing them with the recommendations of the National Comem Curricular Base - BNCC, the Referential Curricular Document of Ceará - DCRC and the view of Brazilian researchers, it was concluded that the use of AC methodologies generates a satisfactory effect, improving cognitive understanding and socioemotional skills.
