Workshops and teaching: building knowledge for teaching in the early years

This article presents studies related to the development of Didactic Science Workshops as part of the Continuing Education Program: Teaching Science in the early years from the BNCC. This is a qualitative research, developed from a case study, which worked with a specific group of teachers from the 4th and 5th years of Elementary School. The objective of this work is to present the planning of the block of Science Didactic Workshops, which presented the three thematic units (UT) Matter and Energy, Life and Evolution and Earth and Energy, from the area of Natural Sciences, as well as to analyze the emphasis assigned to participating teachers in relation to such units and knowledge. Data were collected from questionnaires given to teachers, as well as records in the research team's Logbook. As a result, we found that the Didactic Workshops were positively evaluated by the group of professors, bringing theoretical and practical knowledge, with the collective, participatory and collaborative methodological approach adopted in the meetings being evidenced in the questionnaires. As for the specific knowledge of the area of natural sciences explored in the workshops, it was ound that: there is an acceptance and work of the objects of knowledge (OC) in the school reality.
