Abstract

This article presents a reflection on the relation between travel, memory and narrative. The first part analyzes the particularity of the travel narratives. The second seeks to understand the book “Lágrimas na chuva”, by Sergio Faraco, a member of the Communist Party in Blumenau, State of Santa Catarina, who traveled in 1964 to the URSS. The third section makes notes on the connection between memory, narrative and autobiography, important themes to contemporary historiography.
