Fiction as a limit:
reflections on History's dialogue with Literature

Since the creation of the Annales magazine during the 1920’s, interdisciplinary relationships have acquired importance in Historiography. However, dialogue with Literature – a “fictional” kind of writing for historians – remains controversial. This paper calls into question the traditional concept of “fiction” and argues that the fictional trait is what brings together History and Literature writing.
