Abstract

This article presents the life stories of winemakers from a city called Arcoverde, located in Pernambuco State, Brazil. Following the tracks of the stories, an analysis was made of the habits and customs, experiences, difficulties and intricacies of these traders’ memories. Personal sets of recollections were interlaced with verbal reports to unravel the commercial practices that took place in grocer’s and bodegas considered as places of life and work.
