The present study aims to analyze and understand how the theme of nutrition is present in the Journal of Physical Education, specifically, milk consumption, and how the theme interacts with the eugenic education project in Brazil, in the historical period between 1932 and 1942. We used as theoretical and methodological assumptions the concept of uses and strategies developed by Michel de Certeau. The results indicate that, due to the difficulties in increasing the consumption of dairy products by the population, the Journal uses strategies that interact with physical exercise to convey the importance of including the beverage in the diet of Brazilians.
