Writing-living and cosmoperception. Guided by these concepts, I embark, as a Black Brazilian woman, on a journey to Mozambican lands with the intention of experiencing both closeness and distance. Stemming from the inquiries of the African diaspora, the transatlantic crossing emerges as an ancestral demand of a political body, leading to encounters and exchanges marked by belonging, dialogues, and colonial challenges. In an attempt to gather elements for a narrative on lived experiences and to overcome the risks of detachment generated by alterity, I propose pathways for research. Thus, this study is structured through exchanges, experiences, and conversations in the movement between Maputo and a rural community, highlighting disputes that permeate language, traditional knowledge, and coloniality.
