This article presents the partial results of methodological reflections from doctoral research ongoing on the History Post-Graduation Program of the Santa Catarina Federal University. The research, currently developed by the author, looks for connections and comparisons between the Brazilian and the British labourism in the in the post-World War and is based on the field of New Political History. However, due to the transnational character of the theme, it becomes interesting to seek for methodological reflections and strategies in the rising, and still in formation, field of Global History.
