Abstract

This work analyzes the insertion of women in the world of wine in the province of Mendoza (Argentina) in the context of the wine-growing transformation of the late last century. In particular, it analyzes the insertion of women in sectors of activity that had been prohibited, such as hierarchical and decision-making positions within large companies. As shown in this work, the income of women, on a scale unknown in previous decades, also occurred within the framework of reconversion, so their participation can also be seen as part of said process. Finally, this work has been based on the analysis of secondary sources and interviews with women who hold positions of responsibility and have worked in the sector from the late 1970s to the present.
