a reflection of Environmental History on the Plague of Manchuria

This work represents the extract of research that aims to relate a fragment of Environmental History with the concept of health, its constitution, disease and cultural aspects, as well as immigration from the analysis of the so-called Plague of Manchuria that occurred between 1910 and 1911 in Eastern Siberia. The study also involves ecological, epidemiological aspects, a social and cultural perception in confluence with the SARS Cov2 pandemic and the role that Science plays in the production of knowledge and in the delimitation of actions for the understanding necessary for decision-making. As a methodology, the research is bibliographical in nature and, for its achievement, research was carried out in technical materials such as Epidemiology, Virology, Education and Environmental History manuals, as well as specific materials such as reports and publications in journals. Among its findings, it is possible to mention that the reach of safe knowledge in the field of the work, points to the importance of analyzing different scientific sources, such as Environmental History, in line with other knowledge, including the cultural one.
