Training needs can be defined as knowledge perceived or not by teachers, which is required in the teaching process. Their identification can contribute to reflections and discussions on the processes of initial and continuing teacher training, as well as to the formulation of educational policies. The objective of this work is to understand the training needs of Science teachers for teaching within the rural context. To this end, a Systematic Literature Review of the works published in the editions of the International Seminar and Rural Education Forum was carried out, as this is an event of national and international importance focusing on discussions about Rural Education. The analysis followed the steps of Discursive Textual Analysis. The results highlighted training needs, highlighting the need to contextualize teaching and the adoption of alternative methodologies.
