The objective of this work was to build a qualitative overview of GC teaching in Brazil, by mapping the types and objectives of articles published by Brazilian authors. The articles were searched in three databases: Lattes Platform, Web of Science and CAPES Periodicals Portal, resulting in 105 papers. The analysis was performed through Content Analysis, with categories being established a priori. The results indicated that the most expressive types of articles were those of empirical investigation and experience reports, with a predominance of works focused on higher education. The centrality of experimentation in teaching GC was also verified through the objectives indicated in the works. The research allowed the construction of a qualitative overview of publications on the teaching of GC in Brazil, identifying similarities and differences in relation to the international context, which can contribute to the consolidation of GC in Brazilian Chemistry teaching.
