Epistemological obstacles and the argumentation in flat-Earther content vídeos

This article aims to analyze flat-Earther content in Internet videos, seeking to identify the action of Epistemological Obstacles in the argumentative and explanatory structure of flat-Earther ideas. To this end, we took the YouTube platform as our source of material in videos, choosing to use content from the channels with the highest number of subscribers and the highest total number of views. In a qualitative and exploratory study, the argumentative and visual content present in four videos were selected and analyzed. The analyzes, which weremade according to discursive textual analysis, were divided by video, highlighting nine cases in which the possible action of different types of Epistemological Obstacles were identified.
