Abstract

The Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação à Docência (Pibid) was created with the main objective of promoting the teaching initiation of undergraduate students, preparing them for professional performance. The objective of this research was to analyze the perception of the school community about the actions developed by IPSTI in the Science and Biology areas. Data were collected with questionnaires applied to supervising teachers, pedagogues and basic education students in schools located in the south of Espírito Santo. The results indicated the relevance of the program’s actions in the teaching and learning process of students, which was evidenced by the three interviewed audiences. Besides to contributing to learning, IPTIS’s actions are important for the continued training of supervising teachers, promoting articulation between basic education and university. Changes in teacher practices with the participation in IPTIS were observed by the pedagogical team. In summary, IPTIS’s actions in the studied schools corroborate with the program’s objectives, contributing to the development of continued teacher training and student learning.

    Professor no Departamento de Biologia da Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (UFES). Graduado em Biologia (2009), mestre (2012) e doutor (2016) em Ecologia e Recursos Naturais pela Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro (UENF). Desenvolveu um pós-doutorado no Laboratório de Ciências Ambientais da UENF (2018). Atua na área de ecologia marinha, com ênfase em ecologia de praias arenosas. Desenvolve projetos de pesquisa nas seguintes linhas: impactos da urbanização, da erosão costeira e de mudanças climáticas em populações bentônicas que habitam praias arenosas; avaliação de capacidade de carga turística, da qualidade cênica epercepção ambiental em praias; métodos para o ensino de Ciências e Biologia. Atua como subcoordenador do curso de graduação em Ciências Biológicas Licenciatura na UFES - Campos Alegre. Ministra as seguintes disciplinas no curso de Ciências Biológicas Licenciatura: Pesquisa na Prática dos Professores; Pesquisa em Educação no Ensino de Ciências e Biologia; Prática de Ensino de Biologia; Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso.
