Abstract

This article refers to a qualitative study developed in 2022 aiming to know and analyze the perception of a group of undergraduates in Biological Sciences from a public university in Paraná, Brazil, about the 'Supervised School Placement'. We also collected their opinions on a proposal for a methodological arrangement for this Placement. As the data collection tool, we used audio-recorded semi-structured interviews with undergraduates at the beginning of their School Placement. The results show that the students tended to perceive the compulsory Supervised Placement as an activity of vital importance for their professional training and were open to incorporating the class observation of various subjects in the Placement, aiming to broaden their perspective on different teaching methods and techniques.
