This teaching material is the result of an experience in a real classroom situation, with the use of comics in a second-year High School class. Initially, we bring some discussion about comic books and possibilities of their use in the Chemistry discipline, based on the results discussed in the literature. From the comics produced by the students themselves based on the resumption of essential content from the previous year (combustion reaction, calorific value of fuels, changes in physical states, chemical and physical elements and endothermic and exothermic compounds), compiling notes and exothermic teachers about how to approach Thermochemistry contents from this material. We emphasize that, based on them, alternative conceptions can be evidenced that the teacher can explore, making working with comics a way to have a better understanding of scientific concepts.
