Nowadays, it has become increasingly difficult to mobilize students' interest, therefore, the seek for methodologies that make classes more attractive is one of the teaching challenges. An interesting alternative is didactic games, for their playful aspect may interest the students. Thus, this experience report aims to analyze the implementation of the board game called “Trail of Thermal Energy” as a didactic resource to promote content revision. For this purpose, data were collected through observation and registration in the internship diary. As a result, the game was characterized as a versatile teaching tool, which can be used in reviewing content, and also serving as an instrument to assess student's learning difficulties. Finally, the analyses carried out in this study show that the game is a powerful resource for teaching and learning the topic of thermal energy.
